The 100 Hour Film Race (also known as
the Film Racing Grand Prix) is an
international competition that challenges filmmakers everywhere to create short films
(5 minutes and 30 seconds max.) in 100 hours. The 2011
competition is scheduled to kick off at 8PM ET on Thursday, September
29th. Filmmakers are e-mailed a theme, prop, and action and have until
11:59PM ET on Monday, October 3rd to write, shoot, edit, and upload
an original short film. The top 20 films
are showcased here for all to see and a judging panel chooses winners to
share in thousands in cash and prizes!

Prizes
The winner of the 100 Hour Film Race 2011 receives USD $1,500 Cash and more great prizes will be
announced soon. In addition to the cash and prizes, the following
awards will be given to the top films: Best Film, Best Direction,
Best Writing, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Acting Ensemble, Best
Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Original Music Score, Best Sound
Design, Best Animation, Best Visual FX, Best Special FX, Best Costume
Design, and Best Make-Up.
